Money and Priorities

This quote is freaking amazing. I know people who put money above all else and yet they are never happy. Money of course is a necessity of living in today's world. It is needed for our basic needs, the roof over our heads, the clothes on our backs and the food in our stomachs. The extra is just that. Extra. It is true that in a materialistic world we are in we are made to feel worthless or not as good as anyone else when we do not have this or that. And when a new version of whatever comes out on the market we are told we must have it. We simply cannot live without it!

I don't think I am very materialistic. I do not hate money or having it. But when do you draw the line when "things" are prioritized above the people you love the most? You can't buy the smile on someone's face when you say something meaningful. You can't buy the times you spent together with someone you love. You can't buy the day when someone special comes into your life. There will be a whole lot more moments coming in the future. There are precious things in our lives that money cannot buy and we must never put these moments before money and "things". There are just so many gifts that are given to us that never costs a penny. Be thankful of what you have and make the best of it. Thank you God for allowing me to be here on this Earth, please use me to do your will, thank you for the family that I have, a roof over my head, the clothes on my back, my friends who are always there for me, thank you for your countless blessings, and thank you for watching over me every second of each day. Amen

Happily Ever After

I just watched Enchanted by Disney last night and it was an awesome movie, so i thought i should write about it.

Fairy tales taught us that the main character will find his or her happily ever after in the end of the story. It's either a knight-in-shining-armor will come to save her and that there will be a danselle-in-distress that needs rescuing by the brave knight. That villains will be punished and that everyone will rejoice when prince charming gets the princess and gets married. And happily ever after..... The end.

We all strive to find our happy ending, but do we want it all to end when we already achieve that happiness we all look for? Of course not. We want to live in that moment and wish time would stop or gets slower so that the happy moment will last like forever until we breathe our last breath. We will always find what we are looking for, if not now, maybe the next best thing to do is is just that, and you all will surely find your happy ending where a new story will begin, you just have to keep on looking or be content to what comes your way.

Searching for true happiness and the quest to achieve it is not an easy task, that was what I thought before, because I used to believe that struggles and roadblocks will always be a hindrance that will lead to where I want to be. But I was wrong, happiness is being satisfied with the now and actively choosing happiness over sorrow. Life is never easy but we can thread lightly.

It's been said that our destiny is laid to us even before we were born, it is not there waiting for us and ready to come straight at us in an instant. It's there it is what's meant for you. Yes we will have to go through many obstacles, meet people, deal with situation that will affect wherever we wish to be. Sometimes we give up so easily because we can only take so much.

Is giving up the only option? Is surrendering to your failure the only best thing to do? Is this what you want? Is this what you think you deserve? Will you be happy in this decision?

Yes, your happiness matters. If you are not happy then those people around you can feel it. Sometimes we should be selfish to think first of our well-being and comfort before anyone else because if we are not happy within ourselves, whatever we do will be temporal and after awhile we will feel empty. Go chase your happily ever after.

How do you know its your happily ever after? When you open your eyes when you wake up in the morning with a smile on your face and a glow in your heart, with little worries, and you can sleep comfortably at night I think thats how you'll know your living your happily ever after. The end.

Finding Your True Love

Anyway, this quote is so awesome. It is so true and to put it bluntly the perfect recipe to a good relationship. Far too many people will put on a charade upon meeting a person and in the lust of the moment propose undying love forever only to later start nitpicking about the things that they want to change . We cannot.... and I repeat cannot or should not set out to meet the perfect person...That perfect soulmate. They are not out there in reality. Maybe, in fantasy novels or those magazines but when you truly have fallen in love it will be with someone as imperfect as yourself. The above quote truly grabbed me because I have a lot of bad habits that we do not see. I know they are there on an subconscious level but I truly do not care.

No one will ever be perfect. It is our individual quirks that makes us interesting.
